150. What is the Christian Church?
The Christian Church is the communion of all man, wrought by the Holy Spirit, who believe in Jesus Christ – the crucified, risen and coming Lord, and those who serve Him.
The first day of Pentecost is considered as the day the Christian church was founded (see Acts 2).
- You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation. (Revelation 5:9)
- For by one Spirit we were all baptised into one body – whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free – and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:13)
- For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:26)
- That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. (1 John 1:3)
