92. Where did Jesus Christ ascend to, forty days after His resurrection?

The ascension follows Easter: our Saviour returned to heaven as the victorious Redeemer and is now at the right hand of God the Almighty Father.

• No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven. (John 3:13)
• Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that He was parted from them and carried up into heaven. (Luke 24:51)
• So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. (Mark 16:19)
