112. What do we mean by “calling”?

Calling is the invitation for sinners to God’s kingdom through the Gospel.

• God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians 2:12)
• Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. (Revelation 3:20)
• Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)
