113. When does God’s call become a calling?

When the sinner hears God’s call, replies “Here I am!”, and follows Jesus.

• As Jesus passed on from there, He saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office. And He said to him, “Follow Me.” So he arose and followed Him. (Matthew 9:9)

So the tax collector, Levi, was called, and received the calling to be the disciple and apostle, Matthew.
