152. What is the old church creed of all Christian churches?
The Apostles’ Creed reads:
- I believe in God the Father, the Almighty, the Creator of heaven and Earth.
- And in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son, our Lord, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, crucified, died and was buried, descended into the kingdom of death, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven; He sits at the right hand of God the Almighty Father; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
- I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the community of saints, forgiveness of sins, resurrection of the dead and eternal life. Amen.
