42. Are images strictly forbidden in church services?

God forbids serving any image – whether it is for the worship of creatures or God Himself (holy images).

• “To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal?” says the Holy One. (Isaiah 40:25)

There is nothing wrong with images depicting Christ if they are not used for image-service. However, we should remember that all images of Christ are inaccurate and that He is greater in His holiness and glory than any human imagination.
