99. How does the Holy Spirit work in people?

The Holy Spirit wants to make the salvation acquired through Jesus Christ our own.

1. He exposes sin and shows us the Saviour of sinners.
2. He works repentance and faith in us, purifies and renews our heart and life.
3. He gives us all that Christ has: His righteousness, His peace, His holiness and His victory.
   • The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit. (John 3:8)
